I’ve fitted myself back into The Man’s machine after an epic out of doors experience. Yessir, a solid dose of camping, sunshine, good DJs, and a collection of some of the finest people the West Coast has to offer is a sure-fire way to recharge to ol’ battery. I left the weekend incredibly inspired, and am hopeful to apply much of that potential energy into my creative outlets over the coming days and months. I hope you all had Memorial weekends as great as mine.

I recently got his Love on Saturn release from Thoughtless Music and it is a fine piece of heady techno. I don’t get an opportunity to play this sort of stuff out all that often, but it is just as great as listening music.

Also, keep an eye out for his upcoming release, Undercurrent, on Somnia. That’s going to be two great tastes coming together in something quite fabulous.

My friend and amazing artist, Juli Adams is having her Third Renegade Art Show this Saturday, May 16th. Details are below.

The Third Renegade Art Show is almost upon us! May 16th 1-9pm at the Tukwila Community Center Social Hall. (Directions are at the bottom of this post)

Paintings are getting framed, musicians are getting booked, and my excitement level is getting higher every day.

A portion of my new collection includes a number of works created after studio time at the Gage Academy this fall and winter with contemporary realist master Geoffrey Laurence. And the amazing young master Rita Natarova.

These works are inspired by obscure Edwardian photographs who’s heads I have replaced with doe-eyed dolls. They are a subtle interpretation of my internal state. The rest of the collection is filled out with my normal crazed state of working in the moment and having fun with my humorous side.

This time instead of having just my art I’ve included Anthony Angel, an inspired jeweler: Anthony Angel.

And the perfected tees and sweatshirt line of Slate Clothing.

Tonight is Chillography 104. I’m super excited for this one, as there seems to be a lot of momentum and enthusiasm for these chillout parties and it’s hard not to get caught up in it all.:) Plus, work has been crazy busy for the last few weeks and a night of hanging with friends and killer music sounds like a mighty fine idea. I’d be going even if it wasn’t my party! We’ve got a full night of sights, sounds and entertainment in store, provided by Blue Spectral Monkey, DJ Eckoe, Spektra, Crispy (<-hey, that's me!), Tracer Visuals, Psyche Sonics, Epic Loot Guild and the Herbal Elixir Bar.

If you can't make the show, we are webcasting the entire night! Please tune into the stream at either the Chillography website or our UStream.tv channel. This is a really fun new aspect to these events as it opens up the great thing that we’ve created to a global audience while reinforcing the thought that being there in person is a much better experience.
